Neococo Collective is a dynamic, women-led social enterprise dedicated to creating equitable job opportunities for displaced, refugee and immigrant women through the timeless art of hand embroidery and handicrafts. Our purpose is to empower women by bridging the gap between their talents and meaningful work that restores their sense of identity and dignity.

2025 LA2050 Grant Winner
We’re proud to share that we’ve been awarded a grant in the access to tech & creative industry employment issue area as part of this year’s LA2050 Grants Challenge!
In total, 55 LA-area nonprofits received grants totaling nearly $3 million, thanks to a collaborative of a dozen local funders. We’re honored to be part of this incredible community of changemakers, and excited to work alongside the entire 2025 LA2050 Grantee Cohort to make our region better for all.

Who We Are
Neococo Collective addresses the systemic barriers refugee, immigrant and displaced womxn face in achieving economic independence and community integration while resettling in the United States. We believe that when women are given tools, training, and trust, they can lead transformative change—in their own lives and in the communities around them.
Our Programs
Neococo Empowerment Program
The Neococo Empowerment Program was created to transform lived experiences into pathways of employment, using art and design as catalysts for both healing and opportunity.
Neococo Funding Program
The Neococo Funding Program was created to provide microgrants for immigrant and refugee women so they can turn their ideas into sustainable livelihoods.
Wraparound Services
When barriers such as childcare, transportation, or language gaps are addressed, participation is strengthened and lasting independence is made possible.
